Horseshoe Bend is a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, in the United States. We hiked a little over a mile off US Route 89 through deep sand to get to the cliff's edge to shoot this photo mid-evening during the sunset in May 2014. During our vacation, my husband and I hiked to Horseshoe Bend 4 different times because we found it so interesting. We even enjoyed it more than the Grand Canyon because the water seems so much closer. This photo was taken with a wide angle lens to capture the whole bend.
